As the UX Designer...
I led design efforts to improve the online grant application experience. Using journey mapping to align stakeholders on an applicant-centered approach, I created user personas to stress-test  scenarios and designed interview guides and usability tests to identify barriers in document submission and question comprehension.

Key improvements included an interactive eligibility quiz, staged questions, plain-language guidance, and accessible, mobile-first UI patterns. I delivered a a logic table, a clickable end-to-end prototype, and final Figma handoff files for the in-house development team to implement on the employee portal, helping their retail associates to navigate financial hardship with clarity, fairness, and reduced cognitive load.
